Survey: living with a chronic lung condition

We have been working with a team of patients, doctors, nurses and advisors at the British Lung Foundation and European Lung Foundation to put together a survey to find out about people’s experiences of living with a chronic lung condition. We want to find out how people experience their condition on a day-to-day basis and when they have an exacerbation or flare-up.

The survey will help us improve our research. We want to use what people tell us to help us write better Cochrane Reviews. This will help us make sure that the reviews are answering the right questions and focus on what patients want to know as well as health care professionals.

If you live with a chronic lung condition such as asthma, COPD, emphysema, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease (ILD), or obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), we would love to hear from you. This is your chance to influence the work that we do. Initially we are focussing on COPD as this is the subject of a grant we have funded by the National Institute for Health Research. But your answers may inspire us to apply for new funding and will certainly feed into other projects about other chronic lung diseases.

One of the participants from our patient steering group has produced a blog with the British Lung FoundationFind out how Andy is helping us to improve our research into chronic lung conditions.
