UK & Ireland Cochrane Symposium 14-15 March 2017, Oxford

In March, the Airways team attended the annual Cochrane UK and Ireland Symposium in Oxford, the home of Cochrane UK. Kayleigh joined us in her new role at BMJ-TAG, so it was a bit of an Airways reunion!  The theme of this year’s conference was “Cochrane: Through the Looking Glass”.

We had a great couple days at Keble College.  Chris co-ran workshops on training for Cochrane Editors and Adaptive Design and the rest of the Airways team attended a variety of workshops, seminars and plenaries about complex review methods, knowledge translation, involving consumers, prioritisation, living in a “post-truth world” and many more.  Tuesday night saw us at the Natural History Museum for the gala dinner amongst the dinosaurs!   All in all, an excellent symposium with credit going to the Cochrane UK team for organising such a useful and enjoyable event. Plenaries are available online
