Resorces for peer reviewers

What is peer review?
Peer review is an essential part of the process of developing systematic reviews. Peer referees comment on the content of draft protocols and reviews during the editorial process. Each of our protocols and reviews are scrutinised by independent peer reviewers to ensure that the reviews are of a high quality, set in the appropriate clinical context and present a fair and balanced answer to the question being investigated.

If are already a peer reviewer, many thanks for agreeing to referee one of our protocol or reviews. We will send you a copy of our external referee form for protocols or reviews along with a copy of the draft protocol of review in question.

Volunteer your expertise as an external referee
If you are not yet a referee for us but would like to volunteer to join our panel of peer or consumer referees please fill in our invitation to contribute form.

Consumer referees
We are also keen to get the opinions of consumers of healthcare and users of systeamtic reviews. If you would like to get involved please fill out our invitation to contribute form or get in touch with Emma at ewelsh@sgul.ac.uk
