Before you can develop a new Cochrane review the title must be formally registered with our group. This process begins when you send us your completed title registration form which we check and send to our Editors for consideration. If your proposal is approved, the title is formally registered with the Cochrane Airways Group and we will provide your team with the information and materials needed in order to start working on the protocol for your review. We will agree a deadline for submission with you; usually within six months of the title being registered.
Before completing and submitting a title registration form please check that your proposed title falls within the scope of our group and does not overlap with existing reviews (see our reviews). Proposals for new reviews should ideally include someone with relevant clinical expertise and at least one experienced Cochrane review author.

Updating existing reviews
The Collaboaration recommend that reviews are updated every two years. This is a lot of work and unsurprisingly review teams are not always in a position to update their reviews. This does not mean that the reviews should be forgotten - updating them with the latest evidence and methods is just as important as writing new reviews. We plan to put a list of reviews requirg new authors here soon.
If you have any queries in relation to registering a new title or would like to get involved with updating and exisiting review please contact Emma Welsh (ewelsh@sgul.ac.uk).
