Data collection can be done a number of ways. Here are some tools to help:
- The Cochrane recommended tools are Covidence and EPPI-reviewer: https://community.cochrane.org/tools/review-production-tools/covidence/resources
- Use a spreadsheet. We have prepared this spreadsheet which allows you to record literature search decisions, data from multiarm trials, and communications with trial authors
- Use word documents. You can base these on the Cochrane data collection form for RCTs or the Cochrane data collection form for RCTs and NRS
We recommend that whatever you use, you try your chosen method out on one or two studies first and be prepared to make modifications
